Our warehouse associates perform general warehouse duties that include shipping, receiving, distribution to member agencies, general facilities, and equipment maintenance.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to perform duties in accordance with the Food Bank’s Safety and Injury Prevention Program.
  • Valid California Class C Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks within a changing work environment.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to our member agencies and other departments.
  • Prior experience with material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts and pallet jacks). Current Forklift Certification preferred.
  • Availability to work occasional Saturdays.
  • Basic mechanical, mathematical, and writing skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to our member agencies and other departments.
  • Must have the ability to work in a diverse environment with people of various age, education, ethnic, socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Interest in and commitment to the mission of the Food Bank.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from minus 2 degrees to above 90 degrees.
  • Ability to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, and reach above your shoulders.

 

This is a full-time non-exempt position. The hourly wage is $18 per hour. We offer an outstanding benefit package including:
